I've written a lot about "writing" being a work from home opp and that it is a personal favorite because of the long term residual income that can be generated from it.  I've also mentioned Helium a significant amount of times but have never actually posted a blog about the details of Helium, so I thought I would do that today.

Helium is an article writing site, free to join, where just about anyone can publish their own written articles.  Republishing articles on Helium is also okay so long as the article has not been given "exclusive rights" anywhere else.

There is more than one way to earn money on Helium.  There's page view/clicks...this is the residual part...It's not much per, but over time, and especially with a large volume of personal articles, it will add up. Also, Helium runs contests on various topics with several titles every week.  The contests run Thurs to Wed and the following amounts are paid to the winners: 1st place -$75.00, 2nd place - $50.00, 3rd place $10.00, and then there are three 4th place winners each receiving $5.00. There are winners for each topic.  I will post this week's contest topics below...each topic has 25 titles. 

Another way to earn money on Helium is in their Marketplace.  The Marketplace is where "call" for content is displayed from outside publishers and pays anywhere from about $15.00 to $200.00 depending on topic, length, etc.

Also, Helium offers a 5% overrride for referring other writers to their site.  Now, to get credit for a referral, the referral must be referred through an invite.  So, if you would like to give me the referral credit, you can email me at pros4success@aol.com  with your first name, last name, and email address.  Please type the word 'Helium" in the subject line....I receive hundreds of emails a day...mostly junk, but I don't want to accidently delete your email. Helium has other things going on as well...College writing contests, bonuses, etc. They are currently running an article bonus through the 15th of April..for every article published, the writer gets a $1.00-$3.00 bonus, per article, depending on writng and rating stars....this is pretty good...for those that publish, say 500 articles, they could receive a $1,500.00 bonus...not bad.
